A Day at Sea

October 4th – Day at sea

Today is a day at sea which means more time to explore the ship. Off we go looking for the walking track. Thinking that it would be on the uppermost deck we find that this is not the case. So, we keep wandering ending at the lowermost cabin deck where we decided to walk the hallways. After completing all three decks we have competed barely 4km. Still wondering where the walking track is, we make our way aft and find a quiet place to read. That quiet place was right on deck 11 just down from the gym and spa area. It was easy to get to from our cabin being one deck up with a door opening directly onto the aft deck.

A day later we discover the track is actually on deck 7 where three laps equal 1 mile (~1.6 km) in circumference where 9 to 10 trips around is around an hour and around 7km in total length. Unless you use your Garmin, turn it on to run or walk and record the activity. This can give you a total length of up to 38 km thanks to the GPS recording your movement along with the ships. Fastest marathon ever coming up without any training or significant effort.
