April 2020, use the summary, etc
With all of the excitement going on in the world today I decided to look back on our trip to Australia while finally releasing all of the complete posts.
One item that I thought worthwhile to add to this blog was the Log of the Cruise. This is was document provided to us that was compiled from the Ships Official logbook with entries made by the Officer of the Watch on the Navigational Bridge.
What’s interesting to note is the use of Force as a means of measuring the wind speed. Using the link attached to the word force opens a new page to the National Weather Service where all levels of Force are described. When I wrote about the storm Days at Sea where on October 24, 25 & 26 the wind was at Force 7 or 56 plus kilometers per hour. This gives new meaning to some of the events experienced during those days such as the appearance of the barf bags.
