Mexico 2017 – Puerto Vallarta

Hola from Puerto Vallarta Mexico.

This fall we decided to try out a month of Mexico life in Puerto Vallarta. We have been here for about four days and have made a number of journeys around the condo that we have rented in the Zona Romantica of PV. And of course I have with me my DSLR camera to capture life in PV.

First though, this will not be a blog that I write everyday but more likely  every few days to a week, more if interesting things present themselves.

Below I have added 3 small photo uploads that will give viewers with an overview of life in Puerto Vallarta.  I have added a caption to each photo that describes what we have seen.

These photos are a collection of life in Puerto Vallarta from tourists left for a period of time while waiting for a bus that might be just around the corner (or locked to prevent the tourists from getting on) to the local version of “The Home Depot” and views of the 5th December Cemetery where the El día de los muertos (Day of the Dead) ceremonies are held October 30th through November 1st.

Our first big side trip was to Bucerias which is 30 km north of PV. so this was our first municipal bus trip in Mexico and it was an eye opener. In short we are spoiled with our exceptional comfort and well maintained buses (but what would I know I never took a bus in Calgary). But these were in various states of repair/maintenance (saw one without a front bumper or lights).

But we made it to Bucerias, but almost missed it too, so we got off the last stop and walked back to village center. A very small place where we very quickly met the “owner” of the The Goalie Sports Pub home of the Calgary Flames extremely south fan club, so we were told.

The fun part of being in these tourist areas of Mexico where Mexican product was sold and bartered for, Bucerias certainly played its part on this trip. Because I had my DSLR camera visible I was called “Paparazzi” 5 times, quite amusing.
